Description
This course builds upon the skills learned in CF 117B - Computer Forensics. It includes lecture on advanced computer forensics topics and demonstration and practice in using computer forensics tools to analyze and reconstruct evidentiary data.

Student Learning Outcomes

Set up an investigator’s office and laboratory.
Have a detailed practical knowledge of how to use current computer forensic tools for data analysis.
Process crime and incident scenes.
Use forensic software tools for data acquisition.
Conduct an email investigation.
Recover corrupted or fragmented image files.
Write investigation reports.
Understand the requirements for an expert witness.
