Description
Complete production of a dance piece including choreography, sound score selection, costume design, and all production aspects to result in performance of the piece in the CSN Student Dance Concert. Restricted to Dance Certificate of Achievement candidates.

Understand the pragmatic application of dance’s basic theoretical elements in producing a work for formal public consumption.
Identify and demonstrate the artistic gestalt of their work.
Have the opportunity to address an appropriate range of theatrical production and design concerns including lighting, costuming, and publicity.
Add audio accompaniment that enhances rather than dominates their work.
Understand effective personnel and rehearsal management skills.
Produce a performance for a live audience.
Demonstrate to the public the many components of dance as an art form through public performance.
