ENG 292 - Introduction to Chicano Literature Credits: 3 Description Introduction to Chicano literature through the study of classic and contemporary works of prose, poetry, and theater. Course conducted in English.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Use critical reading and writing skills to engage and analyze the works of major Chicano writers.
- Demonstrate ability to connect and contextualize literary works within the Chicailo and larger literature traditions.
- Demonstrate awareness that literature reflects the diversity of human experience across time and place.
Prerequisite: ENG 100 or ENG 101 or ENG 101H or ENG 113 with a grade of C- or higher; or Department Chair or Instructor approval
