Description
Inspecting and monitoring the job site is detailed. Diagnostic testing procedures are demonstrated. How to conduct and interpret combustion appliance safety and efficiency tests is illustrated.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Demonstrate the knowledge of how all energy systems such as hot water, ventilation, air conditioning, heating and lighting work.
  2. Demonstrate a working knowledge of procedures for sealing the building envelope, installing insulation, insulating and sealing duct work.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of basic residential construction including different housing styles, location of studs, obstacles such as wiring and plumbing.
  4. Demonstrate a complete understanding of the work safety regulations set forth by federal, state and local entities. Read all warnings found in the manufactures’ manual or products.
