Description
This course covers electrical safety, basic electrical math, elementary circuit diagram reading and drawing, and motor theory. Labs cover: assembly and wiring techniques, and the use of electrical meters.

Explain the safety importance of fuse and breaker amperage capacities.
Calculate and measure voltage, amperage, and resistance. (Math Component)
Identify electrical system components in an air conditioning system.
Draw and interpret elementary HVACR electrical schematics.
Wire a straight cool air conditioning unit controlled by a 24v thermostat.
Develop positive attitudes towards work and service to others. (Human Relations Component)
