AES 230 - Team and Leadership Fundamentals I Credits: 1 Description Provides a fundamental understanding of both leadership and team building. The lessons and course flow are designed to prepare students for field training and leadership positions in the detachment.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will understand the definition of air and space power and the components that describe it forming the history of the USAF.
- Students will understand the significance of airpower prior to and during WWI, the interwar years in both the European and Pacific theaters during WWII, and the Korean War.
- Students will understand the establishment of the Air Force as an independent force.
- Students will be able to recognize the technological advances that lead up to the U.S./Soviet cold war.
- Students will understand the importance of the Strategic Air Command and the development of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles as a weapon.
Prerequisite: AES 120 with a grade of C- or higher; or Department Chair approval Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
