Description Course introduces students to concepts of penetration testing to validate security measures and identify vulnerability. Topics include IT security awareness, data confidentiality, data integrity, legislated privacy policies, and individual and institutional liability. Course also explores methods used by intruders to gain the access to computer resources and methods to prevent/reduce vulnerability.

- Formulate a basic security policy.
- Demonstrate basic penetration attacks.
- Assess risks and countermeasures.
- Elaborate legal and ethical concerns as they apply to penetration testing.
