Description
Problem-solving methods and algorithm development in the Python programming language. Program design, coding, debugging, and documentation using techniques of good programming style. Program development in a powerful operating environment.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Write Python code to solve problems when given a set of specifications.
  2. Use Python data types and input/output methods.
  3. Use appropriate control structures and built-in Python data structures (lists, dictionaries, sets, tuples).
  4. Implement introductory data science concepts to write Python code.
  5. Use Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy for basic data import and analysis (Math Component).
  6. Use functions as well as pass and return values.
  7. Write helpful comments and utilize a proper programming style.
