AES 230 - Team and Leadership Fundamentals I Credits: 1 Description Provides a fundamental understanding of leadership and team building, and introduces different hard and soft skills necessary for successful leadership and followership; it helps build foundational core competencies needed to succeed in any organization, but is especially focused on leadership in the Department of the Air Force.
Student Learning Outcomes 1. Identify tenets that makeup air and space power.
2. Examine the significance of airpower prior to and during WWI, the interwar years in both the European and Pacific theaters during WWII, and the Korean War.
3. Examine the establishment of the Air Force as an independent force.
4. Recognize the technological advances that lead up to the U.S./Soviet Cold War.
5. Examine the importance of the Strategic Air Command and the development of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles as a weapon. Prerequisite: Current enrollment in UNLV AFROTC and department chair approval. Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
