AM 146 - American Sign Language II Credits: 4 Description The course continues to stress the development of basic conversational skills with emphasis on expanding vocabulary and expressive skills.
Please note: Students MUST earn a C- or better in this course for completion of the AAS or BAS Deaf Studies.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Attain foundational receptive and expressive skills of the features of ASL in targeted dialogues.
- Produce a receptive and expressive set of targeted vocabulary items including lexicalized fingerspelling.
- Employ strategies for conversation regulators in ASL.
- Express self-generated short stories, narratives, etc., in ASL.
