Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify relationships between archaeology, prehistory, and history.
- Describe the origins and evolution of human material culture.
- Describe the transition from foraging to farming and the rise of social complexity in the Old and New Worlds.
- Apply archaeological concepts to the comparative examination of the great civilizations of the ancient world including Egypt, Mesopotamia, the Indus River Valley, China, Mesoamerica, and Andean South America.
