AUTO 115B - Automotive Electricity and Electronics I Credits: 4 Description Students will learn the operation of AC and DC electrical circuits, and the use of digital multimeters to diagnosis circuit malfunctions including battery, starting, and charging systems.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify electrical/electronic system components and configurations.
- Apply Ohm’s Law and Watt’s Law in the calculation of circuit resistance, voltage, and current in each type of circuit. (Math Component)
- Demonstrate proper use of a digital multimeter (DMM).
- Inspect, test, repair and/or replace electrical system components including wire repair.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs of batteries, starters, and charging systems.
- Develop positive attitudes towards work and service to others. (Human Relations Component)
