AV 212 - Instrument Lab

Description
Students will begin the foundation of practical flight skills that model the FAA Instrument Rating Airplane airman certification standards in the classroom utilizing lab resources and flight simulation technology.  This course is designed for AAS Aviation Technology Professional Pilot  Development degree seeking majors.  Students are subject to compliance pertaining to Federal Aviation Regulations and Transportation Security Administration Regulations.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Demonstrate flight maneuvers modeling FAA Airman Certification Standards for the Instrument Airplane Single Engine Land in a simulated environment.
  2. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks encompassing different flight scenarios.
  3. Perform critical thinking skills with regards to regulations and procedures.
  4. Manipulate different aircraft simulator technologies and instrumentation.

Prerequisite: AV 111  with a grade of C or higher
Corequisite: None
Graded: Letter Grade
