Description The fundamentals of the Oracle software system. It will include hands-on experience with Oracle’s implementation of SQL, its procedural extension of SQL (PL/SQL), and its development tools, such as SQL*Plus and Oracle Application Express.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe the functions of the major components of the Oracle database management system.
- Use Oracle’s tools such as SQL*Plus and Oracle Application Express to communicate with the database and to issue commands.
- Create objects, insert, update and delete table data using Oracle SQL commands.
- Code SQL queries to extract information from Oracle databases.
- Develop simple Oracle database applications using PL/SQL.
