Description
An overview of research strategies using different information types – from print to digital, popular to academic. Focus is on finding and evaluating sources for credibility and relevance to the research problem as well as developing critical thinking skills for college and beyond.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify the need for information and the steps of the research process.
  2. Demonstrate effective search strategies to find and evaluate information for research assignments.
  3. Cite sources, understanding the ethical and legal considerations of giving credit to content creators and avoiding plagiarism.
