WELD 131B - Blueprint Reading, Layout and Sketching

Description
Provides instruction in the interpretation, reading and understanding of blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, fabrication layout and free hand sketching commonly used in the welding trade.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Describe welding detail drawings and interpret blueprints
  2. Identify and interpret various welding, nondestructive examination, and supplementary symbols.
  3. Perform free hand sketching and fabrication layout.
  4. Perform basic measurements and mathematical operations.

Prerequisite: MATH 104B  or above.
