FUNS 273 - Professional Review Credits: 2 Description This course reviews all subjects that will be tested on the National Board Examination (NBE). The NBE is the nationally recognized standard for Funeral Service graduates and both the arts and science sections must be taken to graduate from this program. This course is taken during the student’s last quarter and is designed to provide the student with exposure to sample questions as well as give the student areas to focus further studies on prior to taking the national boards.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify exams required for state licensure.
- Summarize the Arts exam blueprint and the Science exam blueprints and what they represent.
- Describe National board exam eligibility requirements including exam attempts, frequency, scoring, reporting of result information.
- Describe state Laws, Rules and Regulations (LRR).
- Prepare for the funeral services national board examination.
- Exhibit ethical decision-making required of a funeral service professional.
