AUTO 227B - Engine Performance II/Emission Control

Description
Students will continue to use skills learned in AUTO 225B and will perform more advanced diagnostics. Emission system operation, diagnostics, and repairs will be included. Advanced scan tool usage will be emphasized.
This course, along with AUTO 225B , will prepare students for the ASE A8 Engine Performance certification exam.

- Describe theory and perform diagnostics of computerized control and networking systems.
- Perform advanced diagnostics of ignition systems.
- Perform advanced diagnostics of fuel delivery systems.
- Describe theory and perform diagnostics of emission control systems.
Prerequisite: AUTO 117B with a grade of B- or higher; and AUTO 225B
