ET 125 - RF and Microwave Devices Credits: 3 Description This course includes a close look at various semiconductor RF and microwave devices, including microwave vacuum tubes, oscillators, amplifiers and power supplies.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Define radar fundamentals and identify representative applications.
- Describe radio waves and show how they are represented and identify the influence of radio frequency on radar performance.
- Describe antenna directivity and the antenna beam.
- Describe radar pulsed operation and detection range and describe concepts of Pulse Doppler radar.
- Describe the concepts of Automatic Tracking radar and the concepts of range resolution.
- Describe and apply the radar range equation and explain how PRF determines radar operation.
- Apply basic math, angular measurements, trigonometry and vectors. (Math Component)
