Description
This course includes a close look at various semiconductor RF and microwave devices, including microwave vacuum tubes, oscillators, amplifiers and power supplies.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Define radar fundamentals and identify representative applications.
  2. Describe radio waves and show how they are represented and identify the influence of radio frequency on radar performance.
  3. Describe antenna directivity and the antenna beam.
  4. Describe radar pulsed operation and detection range and describe concepts of Pulse Doppler radar.
  5. Describe the concepts of Automatic Tracking radar and the concepts of range resolution.
  6. Describe and apply the radar range equation and explain how PRF determines radar operation.
  7. Apply basic math, angular measurements, trigonometry and vectors. (Math Component)
