GEOG 210 - Introduction to Geotechnology

Description
Introduces concepts in geospatial data analysis and assimilation. Geospatial technologies employed include GPS, GIS, and remote sensing datasets. Provides hands-on experience applying geospatial technology to solve spatial problems and display geographic data.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Describe how GPS datasets augment traditional maps.
  2. Manipulate vector and raster datasets in a GIS software package.
  3. Classify features in remote sensing datasets.
  4. Apply appropriate geospatial technologies to solve a problem within the student’s academic area of interest.
