Description
This course focuses on the complex issues associated with the sexual abuse of children. Emphasis will be on the definition of crimes against children, typology of offenders and victims, sex registration laws, and the roles of criminal justice agencies.

Recognize the laws associated with crimes against children.
Describe the classifications and typology of predators who sexually abuse children.
Identify the sex registration laws in the United States.
Examine the roles of the various criminal justice agencies that are involved with the sexual abuse of children.
Explain the etiology of child victims.
