AUTO 235B - Engine Performance III/Diagnostics Credits: 4 Description Study of advanced level diagnostic test procedures and the equipment used to analyze OBD-II emission and driveability concerns. Use of Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, current ramping, scan tool analysis and 4 and 5 gas analyzers is mastered.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Diagnose engine performance faults on OBD-II Systems:
- Engine misfire.
- Engine idle and off idle hesitation.
- Identify and repair intermittent drivability problems.
- Sensor circuit faults using wiring diagrams.
