Credits: 3Description This course is a continuation of CADD 100, introducing the student to the automated features of a CADD workstation using industry standard CADD software to produce two-dimensional design drawings. Additional lab hours are required.
Student Learning Outcomes
The students will design an ASTM standard template with title blocks utilizing text and dimension styles and assigning attributes/fields to the drawings.
The students will apply standard patterns to assigned drawings using the hatching features in AutoCAD to a degree of 80%.
The student will format dimensioning styles as required per ASTM Y14.5M - 2009 standards to a degree of 80%.
The students shall be apply external reference (Xref) files to multiple discipline AutoCAD files to a degree of 80%.
The students shall create advanced display methods utilizing the Layout Tabs in AutoCAD to a degree of 80%.
The students will program the colors tables used in the plotting features of AutoCAD to a degree of 90%.
