The development of language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Oral emphasis.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Recite the Filipino alphabet and identify sounds, rhythms and basic word order.
- Demonstrate mastery of basic Filipino vocabulary and grammar.
- Conjugate Filipino verbs.
- Recite simple dialogs in colloquial Filipino.
- Transcribe into writing simple phrases as heard live and/or recorded.
- Read simple written material in Filipino.
- Describe aspects of Filipino culture.
