FT 226 - Fire Investigation II

Description
This course is intended to provide the student with advanced technical knowledge on the rule of law, fire scene analysis, fire behavior, arson evidence collection and preservation, scene documentation, case preparation, and courtroom testimony. FESHE Non-Core Course.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Interpret a fire scene.
- Describe the procedures for fingerprinting and evidence collection/preservation.
- Describe the procedures for fire scene documentation.
- Describe interviewing techniques.
- Describe the role of the fire investigator in courtroom demeanor and testifying.
