PHAR 115B - Pharmacology II Credits: 3 Description This course is designed to provide an advanced study of the pharmacological framework. Topics include therapeutic utility, drug classifications, drug actions, side effects, contraindications, and interactions.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Explain common pharmacologic principles and nomenclature.
- Differentiate between medications according to their trade, generic, or chemical names.
- Evaluate the pharmacokinetic implications of various routes of administration
- Assess the characteristics of major drugs classes according to their pharmacological effect(s) in the body.
- Analyze the pharmacological effects, adverse reactions, and interactions of drugs.
