PT 226 - Therapeutic Procedures for Musculoskeletal Pathologies Credits: 2 Description Students are introduced to and develop competence in the application of therapeutic exercise and other procedures used when treating musculoskeletal pathologies.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate and instruct a variety of therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor the physiological effects of therapeutic exercise.
- Demonstrate proper taping techniques for various anatomical areas.
- Identify, implement, modify and progress therapeutic exercise interventions for a variety of musculoskeletal pathologies within the physical therapist’s plan of care and under the supervision of the physical therapist.
- Demonstrate a variety of Pilates method exercises.
- Demonstrate various vestibular rehab activities/protocols.
- Maintain safety of patient and self at all times.
Prerequisite: PT 120 and PT 121 and PT 122 and PT 125 and PT 126 and PT 130 and PT 134
