Description
Focuses on basic sonographic principles, with an emphasis on instrumentation.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Discuss the basic properties of sound waves.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the ultrasound equipment and “knobology”.
- Describe the characteristics of ultrasound transducers.
- Discuss the principles of pulse-echo imaging.
- Define ultrasound resolution and recognize the different types.
- Describe the recording/storage devices used in ultrasound imaging.
