VID 112B - History of Film and Video Credits: 3 Description A survey of the American and international cinema from its beginnings on the streets of France to the present day digital video evolution. This course will examine the development of Hollywood studio system and the rise of independent filmmaking. Emphasis is on the feature film and its development as a popular art form, medium of personal expression, and its technological development.
