Description
This course will present basic automatic tool techniques and introduce finish schedule interpretation. Hands-on instruction with machine tools and the importance of proper use, assembly and breakdown will be included.

Student Learning Outcomes

Identify the parts, operating principles and maintenance of the automatic finishing tools.
Describe the sequence in which automatic and hand tools are used.
Properly mix and load tool with joint compound.
Demonstrate basic ability to coat surfaces using automatic finishing tools.
Utilize production sanding techniques to smooth surfaces.
