This course provides instruction in the detailing, layout and construction preparation for abutments used in the heavy highway industry.

Student Learning Outcomes

Identify and define the nomenclature of a structural support system.
List materials used in the construction of abutments.
Interpret prints to position abutment forms and determine dimensions.
Calculate materials and create a cut list.
Accurately layout abutment forms to project specifications.
