ENV 102 - Sustainability and Society

Description
Evaluate major environmental challenges facing human society and sustainable solutions on issues including consumption, water resources, climate change, and pollution.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Relate key concepts of sustainability to the role humans have in the environment, climate change, and resource issues of consumption, water, and pollution and how such issues relate to environmental justice.
  2. Analyze local, regional, and global progress toward sustainability, success of proposed solutions, and what citizens can do to help achieve those goals.
  3. Interpret graphs and data to communicate complicated scientific topics to a general audience.
  4. Propose a sustainable solution and recommend a plan of action for an environmental issue relevant to Las Vegas and/or the Colorado River.
