MUS 109 - Functional Piano I

Description
Beginning Piano for music majors only. Continued instruction in piano for music majors. Students must receive a letter grade of B or better in this course in order to bypass an individual piano proficiency exam at the completion of MUS 210.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Display proper posture and positioning of the hands.
- Demonstrate proficiency in note reading skills in both bass and treble clefts, accompanying, and sight reading.
- Demonstrate proficiency in playing both solo and ensemble repertoire.
