Description
This goal of this course is for ESL students to write short simple, compound, and complex sentences without global errors and to form clear, short paragraphs.

Student Learning Outcomes

Identify advanced – low level capitalization and punctuation rules in sentences.
Recognize connecting words and their function in sentences.
Define advanced-low level high-frequency vocabulary words.
Construct sentences with advanced-low level grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation and compose simple paragraphs about personal topics.

Prerequisite: ESL Placement Test; or ESL 90 with a grade of C- or higher; or Instructor approval
