A wide-ranging introduction to plants and their biology. Topics include structure, physiology, classification, evolution, and ecology of plants.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Demonstrate knowledge of plant morphology, physiology, evolution, and ecology in a series of in-class objective exams.
  2. Use critical thinking skills by analyzing the relationships between plant structure, function, and evolutionary history.
  3. Demonstrate scientific writing skills in assignments while relating their understanding of specific topics in plant biology.
