RESTRICTED ENTRY PROGRAM
Students MUST be indentured in the Operating Engineers Apprenticeship Program before enrolling in classes. Special consideration will be given students who complete the Operating Engineers Certificate of Achievement if they are affected by the retroactive six-year rule. DESCRIPTION
This degree prepares the student for employment as a Journeymen Heavy Duty Repairman with the Operating Engineers Union. Along with special program courses, academic skill emphasizing related math, science, and human relations components are stressed to prepare students to meet the challenges common in the workplace.

Student Learning Outcomes

Comprehend and utilize all applicable heavy duty repairman tools.

Comprehend and utilize formulas used in the calculations of all phases of heavy duty repair work.

Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair any problems that arise in heavy duty repair work.

TOTAL MAJOR REQUIREMENTS CREDITS: 27
Grades of D+, D, and D- in the major requirements (occupational) area in a Certificate of Achievement program will not count toward graduation requirements.
