DESCRIPTION
This program provides students with the skills necessary to investigate computer crime, work with compliance, and understand the legal ramifications of computer crimes. Students who complete this program will be able to collect evidence from an incident using computer and network forensics techniques. Students will be able to create incident reports, conduct a risk assessment, and understand how to govern and mitigate risk.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Diagnose computer systems for damage or tampering.
  2. Compile evidential data from storage media.
  3. Evaluate approaches to network forensic analysis.
  4. Critique the various laws and regulations germane to forensic investigation at an introductory level.
  5. Interpret the outcome of a malware analysis.
  6. Develop an organization’s security policy.
  7. Manage a networking/security project.
