Map for Transfer: CSN AA Anthropology to UNLV BA Anthropology Major


WHO SHOULD USE THIS ACADEMIC MAP
This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Anthropology, AA  at CSN and plan to transfer to UNLV to complete a BA Anthropology Major upon graduating from CSN. 
 
Students should visit the UNLV/CSN Transfer Office for transfer course grade and GPA requirements.
 
HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP
The academic map totals a minimum of 60 credits and assumes no transferred coursework.  It is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in four (4) semesters.  Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer.  Click on a course to see more information about that course including description, prerequisites and credit value.

  • Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3:  ​See an advsior or counselor to choose a course option without prerequisites and is valued at 3 credits.
  • Core Requirements (Major Requirements) - Credits 2:  
  • Anthropology Electives (Major Requirements) - Credits 3: See a counselor or advisor to choose one (1) ANTH course not used in the Core Requirements.
  • Social Science Electives (Major Requirements) - Credits 6: See a counselor or advisor to choose two course options without prerequisites, each valued at 3 credits, and with different course prefixes.
