WHO SHOULD USE THIS ACADEMIC MAP

This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Associate of Science, AS at CSN and plan to transfer to NSU to complete a BS Interdisciplinary Studies Major upon graduating from CSN.

Students should visit the NSU/CSN Transfer Office for transfer course grade and GPA requirements.

HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP

The academic map totals a minimum of 60 credits and assumes no transferred coursework. It is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in four (4) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer. STUDENT NOTE: NSU requires completion of MATH 181 which is 4 credits, but the minimum needed for GE Mathematics on the CSN AS Associate of Science is 3 credits. The additional credit of MATH 181 may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Core Requirements area.

NSU requires completion of MATH 181.

Mathematics (General Education) - Credits 4: MATH 181 - Calculus I
English Composition (General Education) - Credits 3-5: Options Include: ENG 100 or ENG 101 or ENG 110 or ENG 113
Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3: COM 101 - Public Speaking
Fine Arts (General Education) - Credits 3: See a counselor or advisor to choose a course option without prerequisites and is valued at 3 credits.
Social Science (General Education) - Credits 3: See a counselor or advisor to choose a course option without prerequisites and is valued at 3 credits.

NSU requires completion of PSC 101.
