DESCRIPTION

The award winning CSN Commercial Photography Program trains students in the advanced technical and creative skills crucial for success as professional photographers.  Our faculty of experienced industry professionals teaches students the skills needed to produce, refine, and excel in professional-level image making. Using critical thinking, professional digital workflows, and mastery of cutting-edge photographic and lighting equipment, students learn to create professional quality images in our state-of-the-art studio facilities.

The coursework in our AAS degree in Commercial Photography prepares students for specialized careers in the photographic industry.  Among these opportunities are Digital Imaging, Portraiture, Wedding, Product, Food, Sports & Entertainment, Beauty & Fashion, and Fine Art Photography to name a few.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Produce professional quality commercial images using digital camera systems.
  2. Employ Digital Asset Management workflows for image inventory.
  3. Produce a photographic portfolio exemplifying skills in at least one of the following areas: portraiture, studio product, wedding, editorial, sports and entertainment, photojournalism, forensics, and fashion.
  4. Create studio and location lighting schemes based upon client specifications.
  5. Produce professional quality marketing materials suitable for commercial photographic business.
