DESCRIPTION

A 12-month program designed for students to hone technical skills in the entertainment industry for one of the following fields:

  • Scenic Construction
  • Wardrobe Technology
  • Audio Technology
  • Audio/Video Technology
  • Entertainment Lighting and Electrics
  • Digital Fabrication
  • Production Management

The program focuses on those skills used in theatre, film, and entertainment industries.  Graduates of the program will be qualified to assume technical positions in entertainment production.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Communicate with professional designers and technicians in the entertainment industry.
  2. Identify hierarchy and structure of scenic, wardrobe, lighting, or sound production roles to support events in the performing arts.
  3. Analyze the production process for events through written communication.
  4. Demonstrate applied knowledge and skills to set up, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot equipment used in theatrical and film environments.
  5. Obtain OSHA certifications for working as technicians in the entertainment industry.
  6. Prepare for professional careers as technicians in the entertainment industry.
