Description
This course encourages the student to expand his or her command of discourse in ASL on various everyday topics.

Please note: Students MUST earn a C- or better in this course for completion of the AAS or BAS Deaf Studies.

Student Learning Outcomes

Attain spontaneous expressive and receptive skills of ASL features in unrehearsed dialogues.
Indicate expressive and receptive master of targeted ASL vocabulary items including lexicalized fingerspelling.
Express self-generated stories, narratives and dialogues in ASL.
Employ strategies for conversation regulators in ASL.

Prerequisite: AM 147 with a grade of C- or higher; or Instructor approval
Corequisite: None
