An examination of the research goals, theoretical foundations, and methods of anthropological archaeology. Examples are drawn from archaeological sites worldwide, with a Great Basin emphasis.

Identify and explain the methods and techniques employed in the conduct of archaeological fieldwork.
Identify and explain the various dating techniques employed in archaeological research.

Identify what archaeological data consists of and discuss how to examine, record, and interpret such data.
