ENG 220 - Writing Poetry Credits: 3 Description The study of poetry writing methods and forms with concentration on the student’s creative writing. This course can be repeated once for credit.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Optimize language usage in poem construction.
- Apply various elements of theme, structure, figurative language, and persona in their own poems.
- Enhance creative and critical thinking skills through writing in prose and poetry.
- Develop editing and communication skills through peer group collaboration and individual written and/or oral presentation.
