ENG 221 - Writing Fiction Credits: 3 Description A course for learning the craft of fiction writing in a workshop setting with a goal of refining the creative process, implementing critical self-editing, and developing an understanding of the aesthetics of fiction as art. This course can be repeated once for credit.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Create and edit fiction that develops competence in literary elements in a workshop setting.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication.
- Critique their own writing and the writing of others.
- Analyze models of excellent writing in terms of the elements of fiction.
