ET 106B - Test Equipment Operation Credits: 3 Description An introduction to the use and operation of general and special purpose electronic test equipment, includes oscilloscope, multimeters, electronic multimeters, signal generators and transistor/capacitor testers.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Properly connect an AC and/or DC power supply.
- Measure AC and DC voltages, currents, and resistances with a DMM.
- Measure AC and DC voltages with an oscilloscope.
- Demonstrate use of a function generator and frequency counter for accurate signal inputs.
- Identify and distinguish between various electronic components.
- Explain the difference between an oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer.
- Understand “instrument loading.”
- Demonstrate the use of an LRC meter.
