THTR 101 - Stand-Up Comedy Credits: 3 Description An introductory course focusing on writing and solo performance of comedic work. Students will witness contemporary stand-up comics, study the psychological effects of comedy, and develop their own unique comedic writing and performance style that will culminate in performances.

- Distinguish the psychological effects of comedic writing and comedic situations.
- Demonstrate and evaluate human behavior in stressful and comedic situations.
- Write comedic monologues and scenes.
- Perform solo comedic monologues.
