THTR 230 - Voice and Movement for the Actor I Credits: 3 Description Voice and movement technique for the actor. Focuses on developing alignment, coordination, strength, flexibility, and mobility of the actor’s voice and body.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate the beginning techniques in the Expressive Actor vocabulary.
- Analyze and implement the movement of the body and how to integrate the techniques with the voice.
- Create personal exercises and warmups for improving rehearsal and performance.
- Research, analyze, and create roles from classic or modern plays using movement techniques.
- Conduct self-evaluation as a primary means for improvement.
