VID 112 - History of Film and Video Credits: 3 Description A survey of the American and international cinema from its beginnings on the streets of France to the present-day digital video evolution. This course will examine the development of Hollywood studio system and the rise of independent filmmaking. Emphasis is on the feature film and its development as a popular art form, medium of personal expression, and its technological development.
