IRW 112B - Metal Buildings Credits: 1 Description This class provides the apprentice with hands-on experience in erecting a pre-engineered metal building. Emphasis is placed on interpreting charts and tables as well as safe work practices.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Comprehend and use ironworker terminology.
- Understand the basic requirements for metal building erection.
- Properly use and maintain the various tools and personal safety equipment needed on the job site.
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret charts and tables.
- Identify the various types of metal building structures and the procedures to properly erect each.
